The Village School is a holistic, K-8 public charter school with a curriculum incorporating Waldorf and other arts-integrated methods. Our program fully integrates the arts within an academic curriculum, educating the whole child—head, heart and hands​​. Click here for more info about our program.
Community Service Walk-a-Thon
October 6th, South Eugene H.S. Track
Two hundred Village School students grades 1-8 will embark on their 7th Community Service Walk-a-Thon. Students raise pledges for 8 community organizations which were chosen for co-sponsorship due to their commitment to community values and ecological awareness. At a later date, each class pairs with a group for a service project.

Our goal is to raise at least $12,000.  Pledge forms were distributed to students, but more are available in the office. Also you may use do pledging through  Give.Classy.Org/Village  .

How does your contribution help?
The average walk-a-thon benefits the organization sponsoring the event or a large nonprofit organization. The Village School Community Service Walk-a-Thon differs in that it supports local organizations working to improve conditions right here, in our community, but with a global impact. Students further the efforts of these groups by raising funds and conducting a service project. Proceeds also support the Village School garden and healthy kitchen which prepares meals on site with mostly locally sourced and organic ingredients.
